Thanks to Liz Swanton and the crew at the Rally Australia media centre for providing the audio grabs for this show.
Tunes by:
Ben Taylor - Disease. A former member of 'Pilot Guides', Ben Taylor has been getting a great response both here in Australia and overseas, as well as being a finalist position in the prestigious 'John Lennon Song writing Award' in June of 2006.
Aqualash - Over the past 10 years, Sydney-based Sarah Lorien and Michael Trifunovic have been developing their unique musical identity, scoring for films and documentaries. Their origins encompass styles from Classical and Jazz, to World and Contemporary, creating songs which demand attention not only for their unique style, but their ability to strike a very personal chord with their listeners.
A.M.Gray - Beautiful Day. "For me, song writing and dreaming are very similar, in that my subconscious holds onto all the details and experiences of my day and somehow pieces it all together. The pianos and the guitars are just the brushes I use to paint the picture."
The Deer Republic - Listerine. This Sydney-based band have been gaining heaps of attention on the Triple-J Unearthed charts. Check their web site for gig dates during November.
