Play Show, or Right-Click to DownloadA1GP - Nico Hulkenberg of Team Germany has a great weekend in Taupo, claiming both races, while France and New Zealand battle it out for the minor places on the tight and twisty Taupo layout.
V8 Supercar Season Preview - We have a look at all the driver line-up changes for 2007, and discuss the impact TEGAs 'Total Racing Expenditure Cap' (or TREC) will have on larger V8 teams, like the Walkinshaw managed HRT and Toll/HSV teams.
Music this week from:
Comeg - The Hand of God.
"Comeg seems to specialise in big production, almost anthemic, songs; melodic soundscape rock on a big scale! Comeg reminds me of U2 crossed with Tears For Fears; there's the gritty rock ballads typical of the former mixed with the pop sensibility of the latter." (Toxicpete.co.uk - January 2007).
If you like that track, go up to the
Comeg web site, and you can download 'One Day' for absolutely no charge
The Grenadines - Inner You. From Melbourne-based rockers 'The Grenadines', and off their new CD 'Story of Woe'.
And you have the change to win one of five copies of 'Sory of Woe'. Simply answer this question:
'When The Grenadines are relaxing, what do they like to wear?'If you are one of the first 5 people to email me the correct answer (woof@thedogbox.info), I will happily post a freshly pressed copy of 'Story of Woe' to your doorstep. You'll find the answer
The Grenadines web site. And the CD is now available for purchase by contacting them at their web site.
The Idea - Sentimental. The Idea is the musical project of Mitch Salibury, blending rock, punk, pop and other stuff too unhip to mention. This track has just been released as a single through Insular Records. More of The Idea's music can be found at
iTunes.
The Aberrations - Poolside. The Aberrations are a bunch of engineers from Newcastle who love building racing cars out in the back shed on weekends. When they get bored with cars they occasionally churn out indie pop stuff from their small analogue home studio. They plan to showcase these songs to the world in a matinee gig at the Tighes Hill Social Club in the near future.
Background music:
Cargo Cult - 'Wed' and 'Dirt' (courtesy of
Magnatune).
If you like the song, email the artist and let them know. Or, better still, buy a CD!
