Play Show, or Right-Click to DownloadWRC - A big rally show this week, we look at the WRCs first round of the 2007 season, the Rallye Monte Carlo. Sebastien Loeb, Dani Sordo and the Citroen C4 dominate, Marcus Gronholm hopes for better things in Sweden, and Chris Atkinson and Mikko Hirvonnen fight down to the wire for 4th place.
Music this week from:
Explone - Red Coat. "With Explone's 'Crooks' there are no pretentious lyrics or emotionally demanding tones. This is authentic, pleasant music that will steal the top of your play list and stay there for weeks." - Northwest Bands Dot Com. Check their
MySpace page for details and gig dates.
Bec Willis - Scared. Originally from South Australia, but now living on the Central Coast (which is where I grew up). A chance meeting Kasey Chambers lead to Kasey offering to produce Bec's debut CD, which also features the talents of Bill Chambers and Jeff McCormack. This is a preview track; the CD is scheduled for release in March through Shock Records.
Seagull Strange - Love's Sick Disease. One of my favourite Seagull Strange tunes, 'Love's Sick Disease', is off the Bristolians (is that a word?) new CD, 'Better Angels of Our Nature', which will be released on January 29. To pre-order the album go to
Oxford Music.
The Lazy Cowgirls - You. The Lazy Cowgirls formed in LA in 1983, and for the next 20 years fused a variety of genres into their music. This track is taken from 'Thingmaker', a punk compilation album that was put together by Gearhead records.
