WRC - Mikko Hirvonnen scores his first WRC victory, holding out Petter Solberg over the final two days of the event. With Marcus Gronholm finishing 5th, Sebastien Loeb claims another WRC title.

Ben Taylor - Disease. A former member of 'Pilot Guides', Ben Taylor has been getting a great response both here in Australia and overseas, as well as being a finalist position in the prestigious 'John Lennon Song writing Award' in June of 2006.

Aqualash - Over the past 10 years, Sydney-based Sarah Lorien and Michael Trifunovic have been developing their unique musical identity, scoring for films and documentaries. Their origins encompass styles from Classical and Jazz, to World and Contemporary, creating songs which demand attention not only for their unique style, but their ability to strike a very personal chord with their listeners.

A.M.Gray - Beautiful Day. "For me, song writing and dreaming are very similar, in that my subconscious holds onto all the details and experiences of my day and somehow pieces it all together. The pianos and the guitars are just the brushes I use to paint the picture."

The Deer Republic - Listerine. This Sydney-based band have been gaining heaps of attention on the Triple-J Unearthed charts. Check their web site for gig dates during November.

Marcus Gronholm, Chris Atkinson, Henning Solberg and Marc Van Dalen share their thoughts on the rally, which starts later tonight.

V8 Supercars - The Kelly brothers stole the silver last weekend. Todd grabbed the round win, while Rick closed to within 30 points of Craig Lowndes. We have the action from all three races. Plus, if you want more background into the problems facing Team Kiwi after their massive Bathurst accident, have a listen to team owner David John, speaking to Newstalk ZB

Champ Cars - Sebastien Bourdais grabs his third straight series win, but won no fans when he took home-hown hero Will Power out of the race.

WRC - Gronhom and Hirvonnen make it 1-2 for Ford in the Rally of Turkey. No luck for Subaru, and Citroens 'McRae' experiment ends in tears.

Patrick Alexander - Shipwrecked Man. New tunes from one of TDBs favourite artists. There's more new tunes on his MySpace page.

Ian Phipps - Jessie's Place. Making his first appearance on TDB, Ian is a young singer/songwriter from here in Sydney.

Dardanelles -Oragami Tree. Taking us out is the Melbourne-based quartet, Dardanelles. The band are touring during November in support of their just released EP, and you'll find the tour dates and more of their tunes up on their MySpace page.

Show #37 - Rally of Turkey, Bathurst 1000

V8 Supercars - It was a cracker race this year, with Craig Lowndes grabbing his second Bathurst 1000 victory, ahead of the Kelly brothers and James Courtney.

WRC - Sebastien Loeb is out with a broken arm, Colin McRae is back in, and the crews are battling the mud in the leg 1 of the Rally of Turkey.

ARC - Simon Evans claims his first ARC crown at the Rally of Melbourne, while Neal Bates makes it a Toyota 1-2 for 2006.

A1GP - The second year of A1GP has kicked off, with races at Zandvoort and Brno.

F1 - Since Schumacher announced his retirement, the fight for the championship has heated up. It all comes down to next weekends Brazilian GP.

John Garrison - Testimony. John's a New York-based singer-songwriter who's playing gigs in the Big Apple.

The Heys - Pressure. From the UK, The Heys are Tom, Mat, Jay, and Jordan. Not only have the band found airplay in the UK and the US, they've also garnered a following in Japan from their exposure on MySpace.

The Autumn Isles - Beautiful Pantomime. This 4-peice band are from Perth, right here in Australia. Forming in 2005 from members of established Perth bands, the track is taken from their new EP "The Autumn Isles Presents A Beautiful Pantomime". Check out their MySpace for details of where you can get the CD, and gig dates.

NilFisk -Life of All Around. Closing out the show is Nilfisk, a 3-piece from Iceland. This track, 'Life Is All Around', is taken from the bands debut CD, and you'll find more of their tunes at their web site and MySpace page.

TheDogBox returns next week! After a longer than expected break, the #1 (and only) motorsport podcast produced on Sydney's northern beaches, returns next week.

We'll catch up with last weekends Bathurst 1000 and Japanese GP races, news of Marcos Ambroses next step in Nascar, and leg 1 of the Rally of Turkey. Plus, I've got a heap great new music to play.
