Music this week from:
Jackie Marshall - You Want What I've Got. "Wow, what an intriguing, stunning voice. It feels like every note you sing falls out at random yet somehow lands in the right place. I'd love to be able to write with the same abandonment to which you float your lyrics so effortlessly over your chords. Awesome to hear someone with such an original sound going on...” - Missy Higgins.
You can get Jackie's debut CD
here, and gig dates from her
MySpace page.
Tina Dico - Room With a View. You may not have heard the name before, but Tina has won multiple industry awards for songwriting, including a Grammy. Out-charting international acts like Coldplay and U2 in her native Denmark, 'In the Red' was Tina's first foray into the US and UK markets in 2006, and since then has released a series of acoustic songs, recorded live in San Fransciso and available from iTunes.
