If you live in Australia, then you'll know all about Cyclone Larry, and the devastation it has wrought on the far-north Queensland coast.
But it's not just a matter of rebuilding houses and putting the power back on. Regional workers and their families will struggle over the next year or more, as the cane and banana industries recover.
If you've got the means to donate, do it. The Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal hotline accept donations by credit card; call them on
1800 150 411.
Or you can go into any branch of the Commonwealth Bank, and donate in person. Let's not leave it to others; let's dig in and help our own.
(If you live outside of Australia, on Sunday night/Monday morning a category 5 cyclone made landfall on the Queensland coast south of Cairns. Although no lives were lost, complete townships were destroyed and the regions banana and cane plantations decimated. For more info, have a look at the
ABC News bulletin).
